homosexuality in South Africa-Research.

homosexuality v/s Heterosexuality..

I am conducting a Research based on the topic: Homosexuality, it is a MAPS(Mastering Academic Professional Studies) research assignment. I will be using a Quantitative research method-questionnaires and surveys. At the back of my mind I've these questions that I am about to find out within the next 3-4 weeks or so from now.
1.What do people understand by the term Homosexuality?
2.Is homosexual a medical condition or psychatric problem?
3.What causes same attraction?
4.How does one determine if the practise of homosexuality is right or wrong?
5.What are peoples views on Gay/Lesbian Adoption, Family issues (parenting skills/techniques)?

Scary/amazing fact, depends on who you deliver the information to. I find it interesting though, it is not everyday where you attend "different" marriages, by different, I am referring to different kinds of marriage's namely: mixed racial marriages, same sex marriages (homosexual) and the "normal" heterosexuality marriage as most people know it. I find on stats goggle that more than 3,000 same-sex couples have been married in South Africa with about half of those couples including at least one foreigner (Dan Levin. July, 27, 2010).

The thing is people this days do not get married at all. Chances are that if one do get married its either the marriage won't last (Kim Kaddish-lasted 72days in hers) (our very own South African-Durban talented DJ Tira lasted 3Monts or so) or that the couple got married for all the wrong reasons and end up not lasting for long. Therefore, the most frequently asked question about homosexual is that-Is homosexual marriage v/s heterosexual marriage, true love?

I have no idea, but one thing for sure, relationship separations, divorces is more popular in heterosexual marriages as far as my research is concerned or maybe it is because the aren't that many homosexuals in South Africa ac compare to other states such as America....I don't know.
