I don't know how many exams I've written exams in my school years, but it seem I can't get used to this very "normal feeling" of getting nervous every time. But then it is normal, and it is usually belived that if you are nervous or show any reaction/response against something it means that you are aware of youe surroundings and can do something better in return to change or improve the situation. For me being nervous during exams it can only means a few things such as: Preparing very well and have self-confident.
During my high school years I've learned few important ways that can help me to reduce or avoid stress during exams. My former Life Orentation teacher once said that, "people who are stressing, concered or get worried over something,it sipmly means that they care or have evey possible abilities to solve what is stressin them. She further stated that stress is not always such a bad thing, stress normally increases our creativity in terms of solving problems and encourages our productivity, she reffered this type of stress as positive stress". Therefore, from my L.O teacher's views about stress I've learned and discovered different ways in which I can better manage Exam stress or any other type of stress.
Tips on how to manage stress during exams:
- Prepare well ahead before exam period
- Be organised
- Plan personal timetable
- Revise what has been done in class durint the course of the year in time.
